I keep reading blogs where fellow bloggers have met up to meet one another's kids and share stories and good food! I am wondering if anyone is near the Chicago/ St. Louis, MO area? If you are - message me and perhaps we can try to get something set up before winter hits. I would love to meet as many of you as possible. Your stories have become part of our life.
Which brings me to another idea. I know the National DSA has a conference each year filled with sessions and speakers, but what if we started our own 'getaway/conference' of just families. We could all meet somewhere in the middle of the country, bring our families and just build relationships and friendships. That would be awesome. I can dream, right?
We will be in STL sometime in Sept....either labor day weekend or the weekend of the 18th--(or both? haven't decided yet) we'd love to meet up if you're interested!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure when yet, but we come to the StL area all the time. My parents live right across the river. Or...if you are ever up here in the Chicago area, let me know. The NADS conference is in November...close to O'Hare...just a thought.

ReplyDeleteHi there... We ARE having a meet-up in St Charles, Labor Day Weekend... so I'll send you the info. About 13 families are coming so far, with a few more maybes. :o)
ReplyDeleteMatthew and I will be going to the St. Charles Labor Day weekend meet-up. Maybe we'll see you there? I plan on going solo Friday night and then I'll have Matthew with me Saturday morning, and hopefully Sat evening too.
