Down Syndrome,
a genetic disorder.

Becca - thanks for your comment. I guess I didn't put 2 and 2 together. I have heard about the young lady ( the dauther of the founder of Barnes and NOble) but I didn't realize this was her. What a wonderful legacy she has left for our children. I am incredibly humbled and thankful.
Yes, very beautiful. So sad, though. I'm sure you know she passed away after a battle with leukemia in early 2008. An inspirational young woman.
